Berem, da je v senci mrtvouda naše ljube Adrie in brexitanskega Thomasa Cooka, po iskanju kupca ali strateškega partnerja ali kakšne tretje rešitve bila poslana po gobe še ena letalska družba, Aigle Azur v Franciji. Kandidatov s primernim poslovnim načrtom in količino denarja ni bilo ali pa so se umaknili, zato je po 10 dneh ultimativnega čakanja gospodarski rihter danes promptno zrihtal likvidacijo firme. Ta bo odplaknila 1150 delovnih mest v Franciji in Alžiriji.
Anfang vergangener Woche hatte das Handelsgericht von Evry Aigle Azur noch einen letzten Aufschub gewährt. Nachdem die Richter alle vorliegenden Übernahmeofferten für die Fluglinie als unzureichend bewertet hatten, entschieden sie: Das Unternehmen wird spätestens am 27. September liquidiert, sofern bis dahin keine vernünftiges Angebot eintrifft.
Am Freitag (27. September) erklärte das Gericht nun, es sei kein Bieter mit einer tragfähigen Lösung gefunden worden. Kandidaten mit den nötigen Finanzmitteln hätten gefehlt oder sich zurückgezogen, andere Vorschläge seien unzulässig gewesen. Damit werden alle Aktivitäten des Unternehmens um Mitternacht enden. Von der Liquidierung betroffen sind rund 1150 Mitarbeiter, davon 800 in Frankreich, 350 in Algerien. Den Flugbetrieb hatte die Airline schon in der Nacht zum 7. September gestoppt.

Dramatische Entwicklung bei der französischen Fluggesellschaft. Aigle Azur hat am Donnerstagabend bekannt gegeben, alle Flüge am Freitagabend (6. September) zu stoppen. Die finanzielle Lage lasse nichts anderes zu. Auch Entschädigungen für ausgefallene Flüge könne man nicht mehr bezahlen, so das Unternehmen.

Die insolvente französische Fluglinie stoppt ihre Flüge. Interessenten haben nur wenige Tage Zeit, um ein Übernahmeangebot für Aigle Azur abzugeben.
Am Montag meldete Aigle Azur Insolvenz an. Schon am darauffolgenden Tag trat der eben erst wieder eingesetzte Chef Frantz Yvelin zurück. Die von Gerichts wegen eingesetzte provisorische Geschäftsführerin hat seither die Zügel fest in der Hand. Und sie fackelte nicht lange.

Meanwhile, passengers of Aigle Azur are still struggling to find a way home. “Of the 19,000 passengers who found themselves in difficulty, there are still 13,000," said the new French Secretary of State for transport, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari on BFM TV, before detailing "in the 13,000, there are 11,000 in Algeria; 500 to 600 in Mali, Lebanon, Moscow, and other smaller volumes including in Senegal".
Air France has already chartered four flights, two per day, on September 7 and 8, 2019, and will continue to regularly do so. “We expect the situation to go back to normal in the next three weeks,” said Djebarri.
