Nemške oblasti so prepovedale igrače, otroške punčke! ;-)

Nemška državna agencija za omrežja je prepovedala govorečo punčko "My Friend Cayla" in staršem, ki so to igračo že kupili, svetuje, da jo onesposobijo. Programska oprema v punčki, ki omogoča, da se otrok lahko pogovarja z njo, naj bi bila dovzetna za hekerske vdore in zlorabe.

Die Bundesnetzagentur hat in einem ungewöhnlichen Schritt eine sprechende Puppe wegen Überwachungsgefahr aus dem Handel genommen und will in Zukunft noch mehr Spielzeug auf den Prüfstand stellen. Die Behörde gehe "gegen unerlaubte funkfähige Sendeanlagen in Kinderspielzeug vor". Betroffen ist die vernetzte Puppe "My Friend Cayla", deren Sicherheit schon vor Monaten von Verbraucherschützern kritisiert worden war.

Researcher Stefan Hessel, who had examined the toy and alerted the agency, said hackers could use an unsecure bluetooth device embedded in it to listen and talk to the child playing with it.
"In a test, I was able to hack the toy even through several walls. It lacks any security features," Hessel told the German website Netzpolitik.org.

Evo, to je napredek. V mojem otroštvu so najbolj hajteh punčke zapirale/odpirale oči, malo kasneje pa so znale celo zajokati, če si jim dudo potegnil iz ust.

Nič ni takšno, kot je videti. Tudi ne vojna med mainstream/levimi mediji in Donaldom Trumpom. Ta medijski performans za seboj ne pušča opustošenja ampak silno cvetoče posle. Po poročanju Economista je Donald Trump pravi eliksir za ameriške "mainstream" medije.
