Dr. Ian Young MD, Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of Belfast; Advisor to the Ministry of Health: "A second wave of Covid-19 is almost inevitable."

Dr. Robert Redfield MD, Director of the Centers for Disease Control:
"The second wave could be even more dangerous. There is a possibility that the assault of the virus on our nation next winter will actually be even more difficult than the one we just went through."

Korean Center for Disease Control and Prevention: "A second wave of coronavirus infections appears inevitable and South Korea will do everything necessary to prepare for it."

Dr. Thomas House, Professor of Statistics, Univesity of Manchester; Team Leader of the Task Group on COVID-19 Epidemic Modelling: "What we will see when the second wave comes is going early into lockdown doesn't protect you"

Dr. Jasmina Panovska-Griffiths, Senior Research Fellow in Mathematical Modelling, University College London:
[Q] "So is a second wave of infection inevitable?"
[A] "We can learn from history (...) The four major flu pandemics of the past century – the Spanish flu, Asian flu, Hong Kong flu and swine flu – all came in several waves, too."
