Ta teden že tretjič o Tesla Motors:
Tesla Says 12,200 Model 3 Orders Were Canceled
That leaves Elon Musk with 373,000 buyers in waiting.

Tesla currently holds 373,000 reservations for its Model 3 electric car due late next year. That follows customer cancellations of about 8,000 cars and 4,200 duplicates canceled by the company.

The numbers were reported as part of a Tesla filing to raise $1.4 billion in a share offering to pay for the accelerated launch of the car. Company executives had previously indicated reservations totaling about 400,000, without giving an absolute number. The reservations have been coming organically, without a promotional push since the March 31 unveiling. Meanwhile, Tesla said, its existing models are still very much for sale.

Update - poročanju Mercury News in Santa Cruz Sentinel (isti avtor) o Lešniku, Vuzemu, Eisenmannu in Tesla Motors:
Tesla CEO Elon Musk vows to probe findings in this newspaper's investigation

Tesla contractor launches probe into pay, conditions for foreign workers
A Tesla contractor said Wednesday it may terminate its relationship with a Slovenian company that records show paid as little as $5 an hour to workers expanding the electric car company's Fremont plant.
The statement came after Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in a tweet that his company paid $55 an hour for the work.
Eisenmann, a German manufacturer of industrial systems hired by Tesla, announced it would investigate allegations that its subcontractor ISM Vuzem paid a work force of about 140 Eastern European men substandard wages. It added that its contract with Vuzem explicitly stated a $55 hourly labor rate.
"Tesla actually paid $55/hr," tweeted Musk, who also said "less and less" of the story appeared "to be true." Tesla has not provided additional documentation of the pay rate.

Lesnik’s contract, pay schedule and time cards were provided to the court by Vuzem, a subcontractor based in Slovenia. A workman’s compensation record states Lesnik’s monthly salary was 800 euros, or roughly $900, based on a 40-hour workweek. That translates to an hourly rate of about $5.60. The suit says Lesnik was promised additional pay when his work at the factory ended, but he never received the pay.
Time sheets provided by Vuzem to the court show Lesnik regularly worked more than 40 hours a week. In his first eight days, he worked 80 hours, according to records. Lesnik’s time sheet showed he worked 263 hours in April 2015. He worked 140 hours in May, until he fell three stories through the roof and was seriously injured on May 16. The lawsuit says he and other workers were not paid overtime.
Musk tweeted he had doubts about the story, but added that “we still need to make sure that the injured person is taken care of.”

Če se bo izkazalo, da se je razlika med 5 in 55 dolarji izgubila izključno na relaciji slovenska firma - slovenski delavec, bo to ena res lepa mednarodna promocija Slovenije! Spirits up!

Še zadnjič ta teden o Tesla Motors... in strateškem partnerju Gorenja (za 10 MEUR).
Panasonic can speed up Tesla plant investment if needed
Japan's Panasonic Corp is ready to bring forward its investment in a Tesla battery plant it is helping establish if this is required to meet demand for the electric car maker's upcoming Model 3 sedan.
Panasonic plans to contribute $1.6 billion to Tesla's $5 billion "Gigafactory" in phases over the next few years. Production of the batteries is due to start later this year.
A faster ramp-up of the battery plant would be crucial as Tesla has said it would respond to brisk demand for the Model 3 by tooling up its factories to build 500,000 vehicles a year in 2018, two years earlier than planned.
Supplier executives and industry consultants have told Reuters that the acceleration in the plans to move up the launch of high-volume production of the Model 3 to 2018 would be difficult to achieve and potentially costly.
